|
| |
| We're kicking off our Customer
Profile section with the man who won Best of Show at the FFR Nationals
2003. Chuck Robertson, of Las Vegas, NV, is one of those few guys who
were actually driven to this project by their wives (those of you who
still have to convince the wife that this is a good idea, take note). |

Chuck was a Harley guy. In fact,
he loved them. Lived to ride, and rode to live. But his
wife didn't much like sitting on the back end of the bike (Penny, we
agree with you there), and as an RN, she had seen first hand the
damage that can be inflicted on bikers. So one day in early 2001,
she brings home a model roadster. You know the type, 5000
pieces and a lot of glue on your hands. Her thought was to
plant a seed. When the model was completed, Penny told Chuck
to go out and build a real one.
A couple of months later, FFR 2826 was in his garage, and five
short months after that, it was on the road, his wife Penny happily
by his side. |

| Since then, they have put many
miles on the car, and have driven it all over the country, going to
various shows and race events. In fact, Chuck is the quintessential
customer. He and his car not only are best in class at the shows
they attend (also Best of Show - 2003 Knott's Kit Car Show), but he also
races the car in local autocrosses (Champion, Regional SCCA Solo 2) and
will get out onto the track as often as possible (NASA HPDE events). |

| In his free time, Chuck is an avid
archer, and bow hunts frequently. |
